My name is Serena. For over twenty years I have been studying and using many forms of divination. It is amazing what mankind has used in its search for answers and spiritual comfort. Divination comes in many forms, from highly ritualised methods of divination to using ordinary, everyday objects. I find each and every method fascinating.

Being based in Australia means that I am surrounded by various cultures and each culture has its own form of "parlour divination". This ranges from reading coffee grounds to interpreting the fall of mah jongg tiles. Everyone has an aunt or knows of a neighbour who can tell fortunes. It's treated as just a game, but nevertheless, that aunt or neighbour is always right.

I believe that divination has its place firmly rooted in the real world of everyday life. Divination is not something that needs to be overly mystical and divorced from everyday life to be effective. Pomp and ceremony can be useful in persuading the rational mind to listen to intuition but the real challenge is in divining the future from simple and ordinary methods.
